Romain Rattaz is a lawyer at the Paris Bar. He assists his clients in real estate and construction law and works across all asset classes: offices, shops (shopping centers, street-level shops), high-rise buildings (IGH), or those receiving the public (ERP), warehouses, hotels, student residences, health facilities (RSS), and residential properties.

He advises and assists a great variety of French and foreign clients, including investors (institutional or private), developers, construction companies, landowners, asset managers, as well as landlords and operators, in their real estate transactions. This includes complex real estate transactions, letters of intent, shareholder agreements within the framework of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV), legal audits, vendor due diligence, sales contracts and Off-plan Sales (VEFA), notarial matters, land and real estate asset-related issues, real estate development contracts, construction contracts, and lease agreements.

Romain also regularly advises landlords and lessees on agreements for future completion (BEFA) and commercial leases (negotiation & drafting of commercial leases, transfer of leasehold rights and/or business assets, lease disputes, and end-of-lease matters).

Romain can act as an agent in Real Estate Transactions. He holds a Master 2 in Real Estate and Construction Law (Paris II – ASSAS, 2004) and a Bachelor's degree in Notarial Law (Paris II – ASSAS, 2003). Romain began his career at Lacourte Raquin Tatar in 2006 before working as a Counsel at the Anglo-Saxon firm Taylor Wessing from 2016 to 2021. He then became a co-managing partner at Aston Avocat, where he established the Real Estate Department prior to joining Squair in 2024.
