Anthony Gioé de Stefano

Anthony’s practice focuses on French and European competition law. He assists French and international companies before French and European regulatory authorities and courts, in cases covering merger control, antitrust litigation (cartel, abuse of dominant position), state aid and private damage claims.

He also has expertise in distribution and consumers law, as well as commercial contracts matters.

Prior to joining Squair, Anthony started his career at De Pardieu Brocas Maffei where he worked for more than 8 years.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2015, Anthony holds a Master 2 degree in European Business Law (University Paris X Nanterre) and a Master I Degree in Business Law (University Paris 2 – Panthéon-Assas). He is an active member of the AFEC - Association Française d’Etude de la Concurrence (French Association for the Study of Competition). He is the author the articles “Sustainability: a new competition law enforcement tool?” (Revue Lamy Concurrence No 128, 2023) et “Sustainability : the European Commission’s merger control ‘goes green’” (L’Essentiel Droit de la distribution et de la concurrence No 11, 2023).
