Squair advised Seecly and its founder in connection with its sale to the KRYS group.
Created in 1996, KRYS Group is a cooperative of opticians, leader of the French optical market and a major player in the hearing market.
Seecly is the first platform dedicated to second-hand eyewear, on which sellers and buyers can benefit from the advice and services of the optician. This innovative concept with a strong environmental & societal impact is supported by Pauline Marmoyet, an optician by training, entrepreneur and mother of three children who naturally led her to review her consumption habits and to think about how to offer a more sustainable future for future generations. Seecly's values are based on sustainability, transparency, accessibility, and innovation. The project aims to promote responsible and environmentally friendly consumption by encouraging the recycling and reuse of glasses to finally make them accessible to all. Transparency is a key value for Seecly, which ensures that all frames are checked and selected carefully to ensure their quality.
This operation marks a key step for Seecly, which is joining the leading group in the French optical market, and for the founder, Pauline Marmoyet, who remains at the head of the project with her teams.
As part of this operation, Seecly and its founder were accompanied by Luc Ferret, our M&A partner.
