





A member of the Paris Bar, Véronique Piguet advises on copyright law for start-ups, music labels, authors, artists, audiovisual production companies, music publishing companies, fashion and design creators, performing arts companies, literary publishers, influencer agencies and event companies, providing them with legal solutions tailored to these sectors.
Véronique also assists companies with their industrial property needs, including the filing of national, European and international trademarks, as well as design registrations.
She also advises on image rights and e-reputation matters and has developed expertise in Web3 technologies (NFTs, metaverse, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, etc.).
She assists clients both in advisory matters (contract drafting and negotiation, legal strategy advice) and in litigation, as well as in proceedings before the main intellectual property offices (INPI, EUIPO and WIPO).
Before joining Squair in 2023, Véronique began her career in Paris in law firms renowned for their expertise in audiovisual, music and performing arts law. She worked for several years in the Intellectual Property department of BMHAvocats.
In2009, she founded her own law firm in Paris before later joining Caravelle Avocats as a partner.
She teaches the courses “Image Rights and Intellectual Property” at the InstitutSupérieur de l’Événement and “Intellectual Property Law” at IESA (Art Market Department).
She is also a member of APRAM (Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles).
With 25 years of experience before the French courts, she has been ranked among the leading lawyers in the Media & Entertainment sector (music law, audiovisual law and literary publishing law) since 2019 by Décideurs Juridiques / Leaders League. She is also referenced by Legal 500 and is an accredited expert with the INPI.
Véronique graduated from Paris V University, where she completed a postgraduate degree in national, European and international litigation.
