Myrina Prestel

About

Myrina brings expertise in security law, a booming sector in France with specific complex issues.

Her activities involve assisting private security professionals (companies, training centers, executives, agents) in their disputes with the National Council for Private Security Activities (CNAPS). This includes matters related to obtaining a license (approval, professional card) as well as defending them in disciplinary procedures (banning from practice, financial penalties). She also advises these professionals to help them develop and structure their projects in compliance with regulations regarding private security activities.

Furthermore, she supports all actors in public security (police officers, gendarmes, military personnel, firefighters) in addressing various issues such as harassment, disguised sanctions, evaluations, promotions, functional protection, etc. In this capacity, she intervenes in administrative procedures (internal audits) and disciplinary proceedings (disciplinary boards), as well as in litigation before courts (administrative court, judicial court).

Myrina holds a degree from Sciences Po Toulouse in "International Relations and Crisis Management" and also holds a Master's degree in "International Security, Defense, and Economic Intelligence" from the Institute of Peace and Development Law in Nice. She discovered security law by joining the National Gendarmerie Reserve during her studies. She then worked for 6 years at CNAPS as the head of legal activities and litigation for the southwest territorial delegation. She joined Squair as a partner in December 2023.
