Since 2017, Brieuc Imbert has advised clients on the full range of indirect tax matters, from compliance and transaction flow security to the management of tax audits and litigation.

Brieuc's practice covers in particular the following areas:

* VAT audits and due diligence: flow analysis, identification of tax risks and compliance recommendations;

‍

* Information systems / ERP: review of ERP VAT settings, tax code security, review of electronic archiving obligations;

‍

* Electronic invoicing: review of compliance with mandatory e-invoicing, determination of exemption codes (VATEX), anticipation of EU e-invoicing obligations (ViDA Directive);

‍

* Tax compliance: preparation and review of tax returns (CA3, Intrastat/EMEBI, DES, C3S, payroll tax);

‍

* Tax audit preparation: review of VAT treatments, securing the right to deduct, documentation of the reliable audit trail and support with any corrective filings;

‍

* Tax audits and litigation: assistance throughout all phases of the audit, including audits of computerised accounting systems (CFCI), as well as in litigation proceedings.

Before joining Squair, Brieuc spent seven years in the Indirect Tax team at PwC Société d'Avocats, followed by two years in the Tax Department of TotalEnergies, where he was responsible for indirect tax matters. In this role, he took part in the work of the MEDEF VAT working group. His dual experience in private practice and within a major corporate group enables him to offer clients a proactive, rigorous and hands-on approach.
